We are trying to ensure that patients see the correct clinician for their medical need, therefore, we may need to ask you the reason for your request for an appointment. If you prefer not to say, your wishes will be respected.

Home Visits

Doctor's bagIf you are too ill or too disabled to attend surgery you may request a home visit.  Please request these before 10:00.  You will be phoned by our Nurse Practitioner or one of the doctors to assess the urgency and appropriateness of your request.  (Home visits take three times as long as surgery consultations).  Please do not ring before 8.30am.  It will not enable you to be seen any earlier and will only delay the doctors in their efforts to get to work.  We do not usually visit after evening surgery because of safety concerns.  If you request a late visit the doctor on call will ring you back to discuss your condition.
